Graduation Information

Applying for Graduation

Are you a current Fairhaven College student who is ready to apply for graduation? To avoid late fees, you should apply for graduation two quarters before you plan to graduate. Email Emily Marrs with any questions.

When you are ready to apply, follow these steps:

Concentration Majors:

  1. Update your Concentration Course List to indicate your complete courses and pending coursework. Have this approved by your Concentration Chair and email it to Emily Marrs.
  2. Make a Graduation Filing appointment to meet with the Fairhaven College Curriculum & Records Manager, Emily Marrs, to complete your major evaluation and graduation process.

Main Campus Majors:

  1. Meet with your advisor in that department and complete a major evaluation.
  2. Follow the steps listed on the Registrar’s Office website to “apply for your degree

Upside-Down Majors:

  1. Email Emily Marrs for an Upside-Down Major Evaluation Form.
  2. Meet with your advisor to complete the form.
  3. Make a Graduation Filing appointment to meet with the Fairhaven College Curriculum & Records Manager, Emily Marrs, to complete your major evaluation and graduation process.

 

Fairhaven Graduation Celebrations 2022

 

Faculty Presentation of Graduating Students: Submission deadline – Friday, June 3rd.

In keeping with the tradition of faculty individually presenting our graduates, faculty nominated by students will be preparing short videos of recognition which will be compiled into a Graduation Ceremony recording to be viewed by you, your family, and friends at your convenience.

If you want to be presented in the Fairhaven College recognition video, please follow these steps:

 Step One: reach out to your presenter to let them know you have completed the form and will be participating.

Step Two:  please complete this form as soon as possible and no later than Thursday, June 2nd .

 

Fairhaven’s Senior Celebration

Date: Monday, June 6th Time: 3pm- 6pm

Location Squalicum Boat House at Zuanich Park 2600 N Harbor Loop Dr, Bellingham, WA

Information: Food and Drinks Provided, Free Parking, The venue has both outdoor and indoor space (masks encouraged while indoors) . This event is for 2021-2022 graduating students.

 

Western’s Main Campus Commencement – Fairhaven, University Interdisciplinary Studies, and Woodring Ceremony

Date: Sunday, June 12

Time: 11 a.m. – the ceremony will be less than 1.5 hours

Location: Carver Gym

Information: You will need to make a reservation to attend. Information can be found on the commencement website.

 

Fairhaven College Graduation Reception

Date: Sunday, June 12

Time: 2 – 4 p.m.

Location: Fairhaven courtyard

Information: Food and drinks will be provided. Parking is free in the 1212 lot on that day.  This event is for graduates, families and friends.
