About

I am Assistant Professor of Multicultural Psychology & Mental Health and I joined the Fairhaven and broader WWU community in Fall 2017. I am counseling psychologist by training and my work explores how we can improve the well-being of marginalized communities in the U.S. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you are interested in pursuing research opportunities! Education: University of California, Santa Barbara Ph.D. (2017) -- Counseling, Clinical, & School Psychology (Emphasis: Counseling Psychology) Certificate in College and Undergraduate Teaching M.A. (2013) -- Counseling Psychology Williams College B.A. (2010) -- Psychology; Latina/o Studies; French Research: Briefly, my research is framed by intersectionality and I focus on identity development and wellness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer (LGBTQ), Latinx, and Queer/Trans People of Color (QTPOC) populations. I am also interested in how multicultural training of psychological practitioners at all levels can continually be improved.
