Crafting Local Solutions to Address Grassroot Challenges.

The challenges faced in grassroot development will be discussed and highlighted through the case study of Lutino Adunu-Children Loved, a Community Based Non-Governmental Organization in Uganda. Topics will include grant management, program/project development, implementation and management of development issues including education, good governance, protection/ SGBV, health, reproductive health, livelihood, HIV/AIDS, and conflict transformation.

Speaker Bio

Shilla is a development activist with over twelve years' experience coordinating multi-cultural teams in Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, and the USA and founding her own grassroot, educational non-profit. She attended Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda; received a Certificate in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from WWU (Western Washington University) and completed her master's degree in Sustainable Development at the School for International Training (SIT), Vermont.
