Course Description
This course focuses on a studio approach to learning skills in pattern making, sewing, stitch, garment making and other fiber arts. Throughout the quarter students plan projects, source materials and supplies, develop skills, and carrying out individual work with instructor facilitation and peer feedback. Students have access to Fairhaven’s art studio and WWU’s Maker Space and receive materials to work with . Students will also engage in local arts community through networking and field trips. Students are required to keep a project notebook to be turned in at the end of the quarter and give presentations on their projects and acquired skill sets.
