Course Description
The goal of Intro to Audio is to provide an understanding of the broad and specific concepts of recording audio, as well as a general understanding of the history of audio recording technology and its role in the creation of art and culture. Special importance is placed in this introductory course on
developing a fundamental understanding of the core concepts of critical listening and signal flow. Upon completion of this course, each student should have the necessary skills to facilitate a basic recording session in the Fairhaven Recording Studio. This class should prepare students to record
projects in the second audio class (FAIR370I) and also broaden students' appreciation for the art and science of audio recording.
