Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Conant Dodge and Wayne Dodge Memorial Scholarship
Established in honor of Conant Dodge, Fairhaven faculty member Marie Eaton's father, a first-generation college student and the only one of the seven children in his family to complete a four-year college degree. This scholarship is awarded to first-generation-to-college students. It is renewable annually to students who demonstrate academic progress. Renewal is not automatic. It is contingent on an application that justifies renewal and continued success meeting the criteria for the scholarship. Award amounts vary but are approximately $750 per year. Recipients must demonstrate financial need.
Application Requirements
1. Essay: Write a 500-750 word essay in which you explain to the committee your educational background, your academic goals and your eligibility for the scholarship. Describe what it means to be a first-generation-to-college student, including any relevant personal experiences and achievements that might help evaluate your application.
2. Statement of Financial Need: Submit a statement that explains your financial need for the award. You should include such information as income, unusual hardships or expenses, employment, and efforts you have made to finance your education.
3.
Letter of Recommendation:

However, your letter of recommendation would be significantly stronger if your faculty or community member could address your skills and talents as they pertain to the specific scholarship.
4. Copy of Unofficial Transcript.
