Blake Grinstein Scholarship
The Blake Grinstein scholarship is for Fairhaven College students who have demonstrated an interest in visual arts that is directed at social issues. Preference will be given to students with an interest in sculpture and welding, and who are likely to return their talent back to the community through teaching or other civic and cultural involvement. This scholarship is renewable annually to students who show satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is not automatic. It is contingent on an application that justifies renewal and continued success meeting the criteria for the scholarship. The award varies, but it is approximately $2,500.
Application Requirements
1. Write a 500-750 word essay in which you explain to the committee your educational background, your academic goals and your eligibility for the scholarship. Describe any relevant personal experiences and achievements that might help the committee evaluate your application.

A single letter of recommendation can be used for multiple scholarship applications. Letters of recommendation can be written by faculty or community members. However, your letter of recommendation would be significantly stronger if your faculty or community member could address your skills and talents as they pertain to the specific scholarship.

4. A copy of your unofficial transcript.
