Beverly Malmstad Scholarship
Established in memory of Beverly Malmstad, a founding member of Fairhaven College, this scholarship is awarded to a full-time self-identified female at Fairhaven College who is pursuing a course of study concentrating in Humanities and the Arts with a demonstrated interest in Women Studies. This $750 scholarship is renewable to the recipient with a demonstration of substantial academic progress. Renewal is not automatic. It is contingent on an application that justifies renewal and continued success meeting the criteria for the scholarship.
Application Requirements
1. Essay: Write a 500-750 word essay in which you explain to the committee your educational background, your academic goals and your eligibility for the scholarship. Describe any relevant personal experiences and achievements that relate to the spirit and purpose of the scholarship that might help the committee evaluate your application.

2. Letter of Recommendation: Copy and send this link to the people writing your letters of recommendation. https://fairhaven.wwu.edu/form/-fairhaven-college-letter-of-rec.
A single letter of recommendation can be used for multiple scholarship applications. Letters of recommendation can be written by faculty or community members.
