Course Description

This is a student-led course.

A somatic, spiritual, and physiological approach to holding birth and death as expressions of life, renewal, and community events. This class aims to explore these two portals as opportunities to learn about ourselves, our ancestors, and the communities around us. We will turn to books, podcasts, and community members for their wisdom, guidance, and support in our time together. Students will participate in group discussions, journaling, art, rituals, movement, and writing throughout this course to deepen relationships, understanding, and awareness of both birth and death.

All texts will be provided through canvas or in handout form. Links to videos and podcasts will be easily accessible and provided.

Credit/Evaluation
